OUR STORY

We are Corine and Mattheu. Together with our cheerful group of animals, we are happy to welcome you to our property.

In 2022, we moved to Moutier-d’Ahun. Before that, we lived in the Netherlands, in the beautiful village of Fort, in the municipality of Zuidwolde, surrounded by open farmland. We both had busy professional lives. After a period of even greater pressure, we decided together that we wanted to slow things down and bring forward our long-held dream of moving abroad.

We began looking for a place and a home that truly suited us. Choosing the region was an easy decision, as we had often travelled through it and always felt at ease here. Finding the right house turned out to be quite an adventure — the process is very different from the Netherlands — and it took a bit longer than expected.
After viewing several properties, we finally found this beautiful estate in Moutier-d’Ahun, in the Creuse. Right in the heart of France, and just a nine-hour drive from Utrecht.
